Sweaty Baby

DS is six months and change and he sweats like a grown man. He's damp all over when he wakes up and sometimes sweats while nursing.

Is this something to be concened about?

My son gets sweaty, too. If it is hot, we just strip down to a diaper, put powder on him, and that is all we can do. It is normal.

Re: Sweaty Baby

My 1 year old DD sweats all the time and has since birth...she sweats while she sleeps and when nursing. I took her outside the other day and it was 85 and humid but with a breeze, she was soaking wet with sweat to include her hair all wet. All that to say some people/babies sweat more than others. We have to use only fleece and wool as covers as PUL makes her get heat rash almost instantly.

Normal. DD will refuse pajamas in the winter bc she wakes up sweaty even in short sleeves.

My daughter always wakes up in a pool of sweat. My mom blames the waterproof mattress cover because it doesn't allow it to just soak into the mattress. I'm also a really sweaty person, so it makes sense that dd is too.

Normal. About half my daycare kids sweat when eating, and most of them wake up sweaty.
