Re: Every poop is green

Same thing here, it was a dairy sensitivity. I've heard the hindmilk, firstmilk thing is usually frothy and allergies are mucousy. It takes 2 weeks for the allergen to completely leave your milk supply... I'm not sure if it takes longer than that for it to leave baby's body though. Our ped told us it was completely normal for a baby to have green stools and not poo for days... dd wouldn't go for almost a week and cried all the time. Anyway when I avoided dairy it normalized. It started to do this with our newbie as well until I fixed my diet. He now poos with every feeding. I also noticed probiotics can sometimes cause green stools but ours had traces of dairy in them so maybe it wasn't the probiotics themselves but the dairy.

Oh ok, I thought maybe they were testing for the dairy allergy. Do they even have a test for that in young babies so we can be sure it's dairy and not from something else?

My daughter is allergic to foods in the nightshade family (peppers, tomatoes, potatoes etc) especially tomatoes. She had greendroop AND reflux. I cut out nightshades and everything normalized.. She's now 4 and the tomato allergy stuck with her, but at least the reflux is gone.
