what did I do wrong?

Okay so I washed my MEOS and TinyTush in rockin green. I lined dried them and now they are crunchy kinda. I don't understand what I did wrong? Is there anything I can do to make them soft? Should I not have lined dried them??

Thanks

Re: what did I do wrong?

line drying tends to make the diapers stiff.

You didn't do anything wrong, that's just how they are when you line dry. Throw them in the dryer for 10 min. on a fluff cycle and it helps.

Yep just a few min in the dryer will soften them up

It also depends on where you live. In a really arid area, or in the winter when the air is dryer, the the diapers are more stiff. I have heard that putting a wet towel in the dryer with the diapers and running it for a bit helps- it adds some humidity I guess! Also, if you can stand the racket, a few (I used 3) tennis balls will help fluff things up, too. It is really dry here, and when I line dry outside, everything is much stiffer than if I dry on a rack in the house.

I put mine in the dryer when they're almost dry with a wet sock. Without the wet sock they don't soften as well.

Re: what did I do wrong?

After line drying, I'll throw them in the dryer for 10 minutes or so with a wet cloth. Gets them way softer.

Re: what did I do wrong?

It's just the same as line drying a towel - it won't be as soft. Toss them in the dryer next time you have a load in there.
