Pregnancy safe acne spot treatment

I am not that far in, but hormones are rearing their ugly head in the form of two painful and huge zits on my chin. When not pregnant, I usually zap stubborn ones with clean n clear( salicylic acid), but I have read it's not safe for pregnancy.

Does anyone have any home or store bought remedies that actually work? This may be the time when coconut oil and unicorn farts are not the perfect remedy.

Sulfur...there are a couple spot treatments out there, as well as sulfur soap. I switched to "safe" products before I ttc, but they worked well enough that I won't switch back.

Re: Pregnancy safe acne spot treatment

I just used the same stuff I did before I was preggo. Sulfur soap and apple cider vinegar.

My acne is hormonal. It doesn't really matter what I put on my skin. I have to control my diet to help it. Drink tons of water.

Second and third trimester I had awesome skin... You might clear up soon!

Re: Pregnancy safe acne spot treatment

My midwife recommended tea tree oil. I'm not sure if it worked or if my hormones changed again, but after about a month I stopped using it and the problem didn't return.

ETA - this stuff stinks, especially to an overly sensitive pregnant nose.
