My Mood:
Treating ammonia burn

My diapers had built up some ammonia stink and after stripping with Dawn they have been great. Well, a few stragglers didn't make it into that stripping and I'm thinking one of those is what made it onto my babygirl last night. She slept about 14 hrs las night (fighting off sickness) and when she woke up this morning the diaper reeked of ammonia, she was all red, and even had a blister. I searched and see tons about treating the dipes but nothing about treating my baby. I put her in a sposie but I'm curious if regular diaper cream is enough or do I need something different.

Re: Treating ammonia burn

I would let her go diaper less. Let the air get to her skin, just have a prefold loosely covering her. and pat some breast milk on her tush.
