Re: Best Hip Carrier?
BB Slens come in several different lengths, so do Ellaroos. Do you know how long your Ellaroo wrap is? And can you describe how you've been wrapping your daughter? Maybe there is another carry you could try.

Re: Best Hip Carrier?
I adore my Scootababy for hip carries. It's easy on my hips and shoulders and comfortable for the kid. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Re: Best Hip Carrier?
Ahhhh, okay now I understand. I agree that it's hard to get it adjusted just right when you are pre-tying (although wrapping around the baby presents it's own challenges). My personal fave hip carry is called Robins hip carry - maybe you could try that one. You can find several videos if you google it. I like to get the wrap arranged and pre-tie but just with a half knot. The I put the baby in, and untie, adjust it so it's comfy and snug, and retie.
Hope this helps! |

Re: Best Hip Carrier?
For our latest generation a soft infant carriers, hip carriers are a cross between baby sling carrier and strap on soft infant carrier. You will find adjustable straps in it because they are designed to be worn on your soft hip. It will not hurt you and will not make you tird either

Re: Best Hip Carrier?
Pinktoes,
Yes, you sure can do hip carries with a toddler, although as they get heavier you probably will get tired sooner. Moby wraps have a tendency to sag with heavier babies, so for a 2yo I'd recommend a woven wrap, wrap conversion ring sling, or something like a Scootababy. |
