School Supplies 2017

I'm feeling completely out of the loop on sales this year.

I did see the Staples buy a book bag and get 25% off school supplies but that's it.

Fleet Farm's sale is this week, already started and ends something like Saturday.

Staples had .25 notebooks and .50 composition books . Cheaper at Walmart but maybe useful to anyone who had some recycling rewards to use.

$1 pencil box
$1 Ticonderoga pencils too.

Online there was a 20% off code but some of the lower deals were only in store.

We needed a cheap kid cell phone. This deal includes a year of service. Limited minutes of course!

There are additional coupons out there too.

Oh that reminds me, I need to check and see when the kid's phone runs out. They have a tracfone thing for emergencies and I think they will need minutes soon. I can't remember for sure when we bought it.

We had everything we needed to get started for school but still haven't done our yearly stock up. We were going to do it the day of the horror/poo story but that obviously didn't work out, and now I haven't been able to get out in over a week because of this might-be-chicken-pox business. Next time I go to town though I plan to do our basic stock up though--notebooks, glue, crayons, etc for the year. I do all mine at Walmart because that's all we have.

We hit up Fleet Farm tonight, they had about 1/4 to 1/3 of what they've had in the past. And the prices weren't as good as in the past either.

That's one of the cheapie phones that won't work in our county, and for some reason our school is in the neighboring county and he can't get it to work there either. But its ok for gaming on while on the bus. We got it for him last year on Black Friday online from Shopko.

We hit Target tonight, the prices and the selection were both better. I guess I know where I'm going next year.

It was odd because it said it would have service in the area where he will be but not here. He has service (not great) here which was a bonus but texts are fine.

Re: School Supplies 2017

This weekend is tax free weekend here but I don't even have a school supply list for DS1 so I have no idea what to be getting. I thought about going to buy most of the same kind of stuff he needed last year then just keeping them in a bag with the receipt together then returning what we don't need once he starts school. Is that wrong of me?
