Floor cleaner
What natural cleaner do you use to clean wood floors? My entire house is natural wood floors.. I use vinegar and water for most things.. Dr bronners sometimes.. I used to use Murphy's oil for wood but want something with less chemicals. What do you use?!

Re: Floor cleaner
I mop with Dr. Bronners castile soap but I don't have wood floors. If I did I'd still use that because that's what I clean everything with.

Just water. Sometimes a steam mop.
ETA: my floors are oil finished, not urethane. Last edited by Mom2jandb; 08-20-2012 at 12:33 PM. |

I use Bona floor cleaner on my hardwood. It is non-toxic and makes them look great. I also steam mop occasionally even though you aren't supposed to steam mop hardwoods.

Re: Floor cleaner
Vinegar and Castille soap cancel each other out and de-saponifies the castille.. when mixed it clumps into little white things... I use a fill your own libman with murphies oil soap. but since you dont like that just try vinegar and water in the fill your own.

I use Dr bronners sal suds on my floors. I find it's a better grease cutter then reg Castile. It's made with fir & spruce EOs so it smells fresh & clean!

I use Method because I like the almond smell, but I'm going to try a DIY with almond extract because it's pricey for such a small bottle.

We have hardwood too and I use the baby ganics floor cleaner to clean and the Bona spray with a microfiber mop to polish.
