The problem that I have (and I think others will agree with me) is not the fact that HC is having virus/malware issues. We all know that happens on the internet. The problem is the customer service for the issue has been VERY lacking, and what SHOULD have been done in the first place wasn't. We keep on being told that the problem has been fixed, that it is safe and ok to return to HC. But obviously it is NOT if there are still people having problems with it as of last night and even this morning. Something is not right, and instead of saying "well I don't see anything wrong so it's fine and safe" it should be "well I do not see problems on my end, however other people are still having issues so please proceed at your own risk or with caution and make sure you have your antivirus software updated before you do."

I'm scanning my PC now and the anti virus software is hanging up. DH is going to be annoyed with me if the pc cannot be fixed and we need to get a new one. He uses it for taking classes and logging on to work related sites

One of my friends downloaded avast for free off the internet and it was finding things this morning that weren't caught by her other software last night so you might want to try that?

How long does it usually take to do a full scan on the PC? Ive tried AVG and microsoft anti-virus and they both stop at some point. Why, oh why cant I resist checking out spots even though I have no PP to spend?

Gosh I have no clue - I got the virus the first day but ever since they said it was cleared up I have been using it with no issues. But maybe it's because I'm now on another computer with much better protection. I don't know. I didn't realize that malware was popping up again - awful.

I really love HC. I hope that it gets fixed but I guess even if it does a lot of people won't be returning. I'm more upset that if I need to go completely to etsy the expensive graphic design I paid for for my store will be utterly useless (editing to clarify: more upset about the graphic design than any other aspect of moving to etsy). As long as Karen keeps communication on the up and up from now on and all the other problems get resolved I for one would be happiest to keep my store there - and keep shopping there for that matter too!

This is exactly why I'm so torn about the whole thing. Sigh.

I hope she can move HC to a safer site. I am not ready to give up on it yet.
For now I will sell in the WAHM wares and my FAcebook page.

I am in the same boat...I can't risk my computer, so I"m staying off for now. I just ran a scan, and I have minor malware infections, but nothing computer ruining, thankfully!

As for the options on Etsy...I need to revisit the forums there to check...but I do know that while listing, there is an option for you to have co-workers or employees (so, put in "Made by a member of my shop")...but I thought I remembered them allowing people to do "collabs"...so even if you both have a company name (so, a longies maker and a tee maker, can collab together, UNDER a shop name that is akin to a "congo")...I have to double check on this though... I am sure the etsy admins are gonna be busy answering questions...but quite honestly, if they realize there is an issue with HC, they are gonna wanna step up their options I"m sure, to provide for those who want more HC-like options.

I'm sure that some people will go back to HC eventually though...but Its scary right now, and so until a time frame has gone by, or some MAJOR change happens with host site, I won't be going back for awhile. DH would kill me if I got a killer virus on my laptop...we just can't afford it right now
