not spit up but leaking

My question is for anyone else have a baby that doesn't spit up but rather when you burp them the formula sorta flows out of their mouth?

I always understood that was normal in young infants because they aren't actually vomiting, which implies a more forceful ejection of fluid. I personally always understood spitting up as a more passive action due to their undeveloped digestive systems. I could be wrong though my guy often just smiles and dribbles milk out of his mouth with no warning!

Yeah, that sounds normal to me. As long as it's not more than about a teaspoon or so, it's fine. It probably means that your baby just drank a bit more than their tummy could handle!

Personally, my baby keeps formula in her cheeks like a squirrel and then just lets it out when I'm burping her so it could be that too!

My little one kind of drools out his formula when we burp him sometimes and then other times its a pretty forceful spit up. Mine is showing small signs of reflux though so maybe look in to that. I think most Peds say its normal and just a laundry issue more so than a "not getting enough" issue.
