I've actually never used tampons....never liked the idea of sticking something up there for long periods of time. No pun intended.

I had also heard that they created them with materials/chemicals that cause you to bleed more, so that you use more product.

Def. give mama cloth a try, it's wonderful.

I just used my mama cloth for the first time last week, and bizarrely (is that a word?) enough, I didn't have a single cramp Is that possible on the very FIRST period that I used mc with? I normally am doubled over in pain the first 24 hours of my period and I literally did not have a single cramp. I have never in my life had a period like that. I wouldn't even have known I was on it if I wasn't bleeding Hope you like it as much as I did! I'll never go back

I'm the same way!! I wonder if it's all the chemicals in disposable pad/liners and tampons. Kinda makes you re-think alittle

I have a Keeper (like a Diva Cup except its made of rubber) and I love it. It's nice to have mama cloth as a back up or for light days, though.

wow, scary! I remember a couple years ago it was in our local news that a 17 year old girl died due to that toxic syndrome they warn you about on the tampon boxes-it was because of tampon use. I stick to disposable pads but might have to try a cloth one in the co-op going on now to see if i like them. Hope your sister feels better soon
