What is your favorite way to store full bobbins?

I have this case.... and I HATE it. The compartments are too big/loose (for my pfaffs).
is there a model that keeps things nice and tidy?

I used to keep them on my spool rack but ran out of room - maybe I'll go back to that.

BLeh I HATE bobbin storage! I'm using a mini spool rack, but I hate so much that threads just hang there and become temptation for my LOs and then become a tangled mess. (sigh) If you find a good solution, please share!!

I have that and love it

I do need to be better at winding the extra threads up before putting it back in there to keep the extra threads from making a spiders nest

But it is great

Re: What is your favorite way to store full bobbins?

I take a large corsage pin and pin them to the spool of thread they match. Since I use cotton & polyester thread... I prefer for the bobbin thread to be an exact match because I found sometimes using different types of thread for the top & bobbin gives me tension issues. I have some some straight 2 row things similar to the round bobbin saver above. I only use it to store empty bobbins. I have different machines so sometimes I end up having to take the thread from one bobbin and put it on a different type. (Metal to plastic or vice versa)

I use one of them. Lets me label the bitty boxes with thread type, weight, machine it is used for and sort by color family's. Each little container will hold several bobbins.

I also use one for my needles, same idea with being able to sort kind and size. With 2 sewing machines, a serger and a cover stitch I need lots of needles on hand.

I have a thread storage compartment that I can put both my thread and bobbin together in. That way they all stay together.

I have bobbins everywhere! Seriously, on my sewing table, on my dd's sewing machines bobbin winder, in my machines storage compartment, in my sewing basket, in dd's machine trolley. I really need to organize.

Something like this would make me very happy:
http://creativehomemakers.blogspot.c...ad-holder.html

I've been meaning to make the vinyl covers towards the bottom. But I don't want my thread to get all dusty, so I the rack won't actually work for me.

This link shows them stored on a magnetic strip, but mine are plastic:

You can also use hair ties to keep the threads on:
http://sewmanyways.blogspot.com/2010...air-we-go.html

And finally, using pipe cleaners to keep them with their mate:

A combo of pipe cleaner and vinyl tubing may work.

Yes, I have always been annoyed with my bobbins, seems like no matter what I do, they unwind or get lost, or become a tangled mess! Keep coming with those solutions! Pics would be awesome!
