Could Cotton jersey work for a no sew blanket?

I have zero sewing skills. I want to make the my babies a no sew blanket but don't want to use fleece. Living at the bottom of the US we stay rather warm year round and 2 layers of that stuff would get hot & sweaty. So would a cotton t-shirt material work. It's edges don't fray so it seems like it would. You all are the crafty experts though so I bet you would know.

Yes, but it will roll at the edges. It may also be tough to cut straight.

It would work just fine, the edges will roll on you. A cotton interlock would have less rolling at the edges so you could ask for that at the fabric store if you want to prevent that.

Yep, interlock doesn't roll for me and I find it to be a little stretchier than most jerseys.
