Just learning how to use my sewing machine . Id love to make some pants that fit good with cloth bums : does anybody have any advice or perhaps a pattern ? I don't have material yet but I'll probobly just use some sort of cute pattern cotton or fleece . Thanks

I've used this one. Easy peasy. I like that you just take pants that already fit and lay them over to get your outline.

Big butt baby pants by Made by Rae are super cute (but this is a paid pattern): http://www.made-by-rae.com/2010/08/b...ewing-pattern/

This is by the same person, for free but only in "newborn" (actually about 3-6mo) size: http://www.made-by-rae.com/2010/10/f...ewing-pattern/

This pair is also free and it's knit: http://www.made-by-rae.com/2014/03/s...baby-leggings/

And Quick Change Trousers is super cute in the book "Handmade Beginnings" by Anna Maria Horner. My library has tons of crafting books so I got that pattern for free.

Anyone know of a sewing pattern for girls leggings that will accommodate cloth diapers?

I would suggest taking a pattern for baby pants from knit fabric (like the one palooka used) and just tapering the hip through legs. Should work, unless you want the leggings super duper tight (like tights) like the ones I often see at target or walmart. I dont like super super tight leggings on babies, just tight enough to not look like pants/loung wear.

Re: ISO easy pattern for baby pants

Thanks for the tip! I'm not looking for super skin tight pants, just pants that are a little more feminine than the wide leg pants I've made for her .

I'm in the same boat. Thanks for the suggestions (and to OP for asking)!
