Re: Favorite dog breed

Pit bull hands down. They're gentle, loyal, and protective when raised with love and the proper training. Plus they're just so beautiful. We're not allowed to have them where we live mow but once we buy a house I hope to adopt a full blood.

American Bulldog I have no idea how we ever got along without them. I heard people talking about them for years on here but was scared by how they looked. I just can't describe how amazing they are. They are just huge teddy bears and the kids spend more time laying on the dog than the couch!

Pitties all the way! They are incredibly loyal, sweet, goofy, and total snugglebutts. They train very well. We've had our girl for five years, and she is great with our baby- gentle, affectionate, and protective (but not aggressively so). I think it's important to note though that they can be very energetic, and become a huge pain in the butt without proper exercise!

Re: Favorite dog breed

I have a chocolate lab who loves our little girl. She is sweet and loyal. We also have a golden retriever/husky who is crazy. She looks golden but her personality is all husky. I think labs are amazing. Especially with kidsClick image for larger version

We have an 11 year old yellow lab and he has been such a great dog!! He's very sweet, loyal, and good with our kids.

I have always wanted an English bulldog though....

I'm partial to my English Bulldog. He's not the most attractive animal on the planet, and you can hear him snoring from across the entire house, but he's our baby and we love him.

Re: Favorite dog breed

My husband and I plan on getting a retired greyhound when our daughter is a bit older (she is 3 months today!). We went to a rescue while I was pregnant and my husband fell in love with their laziness. lol...They said they are great with kids! We still have their number and will give them a call when we are ready! Maybe by christmas 2015? I hope so, I sure miss my dog. He had cancer and passed June of this year. He was 12 years old.
