I'm so lucky my kiddo has never been sick. Never even a runny nose that wasn't related to teething.

Morning everyone

Alisha are you me? I thought I had pregnancy pains too. Then I thought I pulled a muscle. By the time I went to the hospital my gallbladder was ruptured. I spent 10 days in the hospital and had two surgeries. DS3 was 3 weeks old.

Dang, and I thought I was tough.

I had to goes to Homey D's to pick up a couple of things and as I was walking down the one isle I heard a guy in this group of contractors that I passed say "See there's a woman". I turned around because I had heard what preceded that and it was not pretty, it wasn't like an offhand observation like "oh look, there's a woman", he was in the process of insulting his employees saying that a woman could do their jobs better than they could. I looked at him and looked right back at me, so I said excuse me what was that. He was like oh I was just saying you probably work harder than these guys (BS because I had just turned down the isle and heard what he was saying before he even saw me) I replied with there's no probably about it. It kind of slipped out because I was pissed but he wasn't the only one generally berating the ability of a woman to perform manual labor. EVERY time I go to Home Depot something like this happens. They should seriously call that place Sexists'R'Us. Never had a problem at Lowe's though but I don't like Lowe's as much. I usually wear headphones in there but didn't today. Sigh, I should know better by now.

OK, ladies here is the piece that was accepted into the show. The title is Genesis of a Caress and was inspired by those moments when DD comes running to me for some hugs after I get home from a long day at the studio.
