Yeah I'm not sure really. It started getting really heavy today so it seems like AF started I think. So a 13 day cycle maybe? Crazy!

oh bummer. you think the vitex is messing with you? i do hear it takes a few months and sometimes up to 6 to straighten things out. and i do know from my own experience with a messed up cycle from too much soy products that when i first started to straighten out it looked much worse!my first cycle was just crazy, then over the next couple months it gradually headed to where i wanted it.just a thought anyway.

Re: Bleeding/Vitex Help

Oh yes, vitex can cause bleeding... I got a UTI one cycle while taking it... so I stopped figuring there was no point since I was missing the BD window anyway... I had a 17 day cycle that month & felt VERY ripped off! AF started w/in 1-2 days after I stopped.

Vitex is very powerful... it is incredible stuff... we have now had 3 BFPs on it after our very 1st BFP came only after IVF during years & years of infertility. Just be sure to use it correctly & don't miss it... 1 dose should be fine, but I'd be VERY careful.

I am not sure if you are using capsules, but you may want to consider liquid. I personally used liquid w/alcohol (better absorption & availability... works way faster than capsules) & was instructed to take it CD 1-21 30 drops 2x a day in a small amount of chlorine & fluoride free water AM & PM. Like I said already, we went through IVF to have #1... were told no babies unless we did IVF (less than 1% chance on our own)... so I went alternative... 2 months on vitex for 2 BFPs & just 1 month for our most recent BFP...

Also, I was advised by my natural pharmacist to use vitex for 2-3 cycles & then take 2-3 off to allow my body to rest... not sure how long you've been taking it overall though. Best wishes!!

Re: Bleeding/Vitex Help

[QUOTE=opheliaspins;15422069]I'm going to keep track of it. I'm not sure if it's the vitex or not, or if it's helping or not, but my cycle as a lot shorter than the previous one after taking vitex...so who knows

I had the same problem. I got off vitex in february. In my first cycle , I had 2 day painful period instead of a 5 day period. Then 3 weeks later I had a breakthrough bleeding which I never had in my entire life for 3 weeks. I ovulated and then 14 days later I got my period for 5 days. In my 2nd cycle, I ovulated but 6 days before my period I started spotting and been bleeding and spotting for 30 days and I'm still having it. So confused y is this happening. I never had any of these issues before I took vitex. How many cycles did it take to get u back to normal?

I stopped vitex in February and after three months I got really bad bleeding from it for almost 1 month and a half. It's due to vitex cuz I never had this issue before. After your 56 day of bleeding. Did it regulate in the next cycle?
