Re: Hypnobabies mamas

I had a hypnobabies birth on May 25th. It was my first unmedicated birth (my previous two births I had an epidural). I had a great experience using hypnobabies. I will say that it wasn't completely pain-free, but it was manageable. I was mostly comfortable up until they broke my water (I was 7cm and hadn't progressed for a while...they figured if they broke my water, I would progress very quickly). He was born 25 minutes later, but it was a very intense 25 minutes. It was difficult to stay focused on my hypnobabies. Also, I had planned on using some of her tips for pushing gently and the Pushing Track, but he came out in one very intense push....there wasn't time! I loved hypnobabies and will definitely do it again with my next one.

Re: Hypnobabies mamas

I used the mongan method/deep relaxation w both my babies. With the first, it helped a ton, the second baby came so fast that i had a hard time adjusting, still, it helped some. I can only recommend it!

Re: Hypnobabies mamas

I'm planning to use Hypnobabies again for my baby due in June. I'm planning to start my home study course tomorrow. I've been listening to the preg affirmations since the first tri. Today I find myself teary and nervous with thoughts like "will I be able to birth this baby". Did any of you feel like this? Is this normal?! I'm 27 weeks. T-I-A!

Re: Hypnobabies mamas

I did hypno with my daughter. It went very well! I liked it but it did take lots of practice with my husband (or birth partner) for my body to relax when using the affirmations.
