Like the idea but how durable are these bags? I fear that my LO would be able to get trhough to the poly filler

They are serged and then stitched again at all seams, with a two-row stitch to secure the window. Handles are reinforced with a tight zig-zag through all layers. The window layer is sturdy denim and the facing layer is either heavyweight cotton/canvas or lightweight fabric lined with an additional denim layer.

My oldest Hide & Squeak bag is over 1 year old and still like new, even though it was a prototype with single-seams only. My daughter has taken it on car trips, jumped on it, played catch with it, and it is barely worn. Note that I don't recommend your kids jump on or throw these as general practice

These aren't for use as a dog toy, but they are designed to hold up to long-term use. If there were ever a tear or puncture, the poly beads are non-toxic, rounded, and very small, but you should treat a damaged Hide & Squeak bag as you would any damaged toy.

A friend of mine makes ones very similar to that. She does different shaped windows and uses rice instead of the poly-pellets. She also includes a laminated picture of everything inside the bag. I bought two for my kiddos, which sometimes they like and sometimes they dont. LOL. But they are GREAT for therapy toys. Works on motor skills. So it might be good to take them to your local children's hospital or something. A friend of money bought a bunch of them for her church. They have a bunch of canvas bags filled with quiet activities for the kids hanging on a coat rack. Each kids gets a bag before heading into the service so they have something to keep hem occupies. She bought a bunch of them to put in each of the bags.

I wouldn't be a fan of the squeakers because it would be something I'd use for my kids in church. Also, I think I could probably make one myself for less than $20, so I probably wouldn't spend that. I have an issue with spending more than I would making it myself. One of the downsides of being crafty.

Wow mama! I think these are a great idea! I would love something like this! Creative name too! I haven't read throuigh the comments, but it looks nice and sounds like a great idea! I say go for it! I'd like to see bright colors and prints.

Oh ya! Upcycled!!! You could offer custom h&s bags and offer to use customer's child's clothing or blankets so they live on and give whimsy to the bag!

Good idea, I will add that option for sure! I've done a few patchwork ones with denim backing for reinforcement, so I could probably use up to four or five different keepsake fabrics in one bag.
