I feel ignorant for not knowing about this before. During pregnancy and post-pregnancy I noticed I had an odd football thing coming out my belly if I leaned back while standing. It was super weird and I did it a lot for fun (um. I'm not sure how I thought it was fun, just weird?). It's gotten a lot better now, but I've lost all my pregnancy weight, plus about 10 lbs, and I still have a poochy, squishy belly that looks about 4 mos preggo. So my friend told me... diastasis recti. Ding ding ding ding!!! I just checked out every book and exercise DVD our library has on the subject, which was actually quite a few. I'm probably going to be ready to model swimsuits soon. I can't believe I didn't think to google that bulge a long time ago- I'm usually the queen of googling weird things! Unfortunately, I have no boobs for the swimsuit modeling, though As soon as DS stopped nursing, they went back from whence they came.

I was told I had it with my second and was not recommended any type of exercise or anything else. It's good to know people have managed to heal it with excercise.
