Amber teething necklace.

I'm wondering how many of you have used one of these with good results? I have a teething 4 month old on my hands!

I was looking at some on HC and it noted that they are not to chew on the necklace. It seems like that would help relieve the pain better, would it not?

Amber is soft and can crack under pressure. That presents a choking hazard, so it's not good for your LO to chew the necklace.

I just ordered two amber necklaces - one for myself and one for DD. I have TMJ so I'm hoping amber might help with that, as well as DDs teething. I'll report the results.

I have 3 for my LO and one for me. It makes a world of difference for us, and about 3/4ths of the people who use them. It helps me with cramps too!

I got my son one from Inspired by Finn and I really think it's worked for us...it's not to chew on, the amber beads are supposed to give of a calming feeling...he currently has 5 teeth coming in, and used to wake up every night screaming and I wasn't able to calm him down without giving him tyelnol and hated doing that every night, well now he doesn't wake up at night AT ALL since I got him the necklace and he's still got the teeth coming in, so I believe it's working for us!

Re: Amber teething necklace.

My DS has been wearing his day and night for 14 months now, and I definitely think it has helped him. Since getting it when he was just over 4 months old, I've not had to use any Tylenol or Motrin at all for teething pain. I do still sometimes give him homeopathics.

We actually liked DS' amber necklace so much that for our wedding anniversary DP and I each got one from Inspired by Finn. They arrived yesterday and we love them. And I already find that mine has a calming effect and helped my sleep.

Re: Amber teething necklace.

I think it might help DS some. I have to say this round of teething has been hard on him, not sure if it would be even worse without the necklace or not. But I think they are pretty anyway. We always get comments on how cute it is.

Re: Amber teething necklace.

We just got ours in the mail today, but DD is not here to put it on! It's killing me.

I keep holding it, though. I think I am developing some arthritis and I really want one for myself and I want one for my DS, too... but money is tight--so one at a time.
