DD is such a sweetheart, gets along with everyone, and is so responsible. She is so curious about the world and cares deeply about the well-being of others. She is an amazing artist and such a graceful dancer.

DS is bright and so creative. He is very observant and takes in an amazing amount of detail, later recreating what he sees in a game or drawing. He loves to help me cook and is quickly learning his way around the kitchen. And I'm really proud of the maturity he's showing in his beginner basketball league--he's one of the least skilled players on the team but he's sticking with it, persevering and improving, and most importantly keeping a positive attitude and having a good time with it.
Having a positive attitude in that kind of situation will take him far.

Re: Brag about your kids!

Yes come on what was the joke?!

My kids each have their great qualities of course, but today I am glad for this thread to have a place to share a group thing. I took all 6 of them ages 2-11 to the doctor today, I had multiple stops and we were in the building 2.5 hours. Lots of people say they are well behaved, but today several people were really sincerely going on and on about how well behaved the kids were. One old man had tears in his eyes and told me why they were well behaved and what the world needs, etc. My kids are not perfect angels! And lately I've felt like I'm doing worse and worse with modeling kindness, because they can be so unkind to each other. I really have been discouraged about it, and today was such a relief for me to hear those things. And I was already getting flustered because they were crabby from getting up early to get there! I'm not exactly proud of my kids' behavior--plenty of room for improvement!--but I am glad that they bring a smile to people.
