Question Favorite Kid Sandals?

I want a few nice/durable pairs of sandals for my kids (5yrs & 3.5yrs). What are some brands you love? Your kids love?

The always wear their Crocs but I want something different

Re: Favorite Kid Sandals?

My kids both love their keen sandals. My older guy is 10 and he adores them as they are easy to get on, yet protect his feet. He can climb trees without worry and run around the park or yard without worry that he is going to stub his toes or will fly off like his crocs. They are a bit on the pricey side, but I tend to resell them. ODS is wearing the same pair as last year and they look brand new....even after wearing them literally every day last summer. My younger wants to be like his older brother.

I also like the keens. Like the previous post I have a pair passed down from nephew that still look brand new after being worn everyday last summer(swimming, hiking,). My little girl has a pair and they are great and next summer she will wear her cousins.

I love my girls' Birkenstock sandals. They have held up well and they were such a great price I couldn't resist buying them each a couple of pairs. I got them for around $16 on Amazon not too long ago.

birki's.
Keen, although my fat footed 18 month old hates them because they fit tight. He does better in Crocs or birki's.

Re: Favorite Kid Sandals?

we just bought ds a pair of keens and he loves them (he's 2)! I love that they look brand new even after they have been worn for a long time and they can be thrown in the washer, have an antimicrobial footbed (like crocs) and their toes are covered so when they are running and climbing and just being kids, you don't have to worry about their toes getting jammed. I totally just scored a used pair at goodwill for 1.49- no joke- they look nearly new and won't fit him until next year but I have no issue buying shoes like these used off of ebay because, like crocs, the footbed doesn't hold an impression of the foot (I can't think of a better way to say this) and is completely washable. There are some great deals on ebay on these!! I recommend you have your kiddos try them on first at Nordstrom's or Stride Rite (our SR has them) to get their correct size in them and then bid on some on ebay if you don't mind used.

Re: Favorite Kid Sandals?

They are kind of expensive, but my kids wear Keen sandals. They are really comfortable, durable, and they are waterproof too. I think the best part about them is that they have a closed toe with rubber covering the toes, so they are kind of like sneakers, but they are sandals. My MIL bought them for my kids last summer and my kids are still wearing them this summer. Hope that helps mama!
