Re: DFW mamas

Hawaiian Falls is a very family friendly waterpark chain in DFW. They have 5 locations including Mansfield, Roanoke, and Waco. It is a Christian owned company so fairly conservative (no smoking, alcohol, or skimpy bathing suits allowed) and every single feature except the wave pool is okay for non-swimmers. Ours has several areas for young kids and we have season passes for the 3rd year in a row. My kids are 8yo, 4yo, and 2yo and it is a challenge taking them by myself, but thankfully I usually end up with friends there and we all kinda help each other out. Mondays are Maui Moms and you get a free adult ticket with every child ticket you buy. Tuesdays are $2 hotdogs, pretzels, small drinks, and cotton candy.

We've never been because I am so scared of going by myself, you rock! Good to know everything is safe for non-swimmers though. My bigger two are fish but the little guy still needs to learn. I'm gonna roam about DS a little longer and then I really need to clean up the living room, it's an insane disaster!

We went again today We pre-order our passes in Sept. for best prices so I'm trying to get in several trips before we move.

That sounds so much fun! I wanted to go to the zoo today but that didnt end up working out with the rain

I am really fond of the botanic gardens as well - we dont usually do water parks in my family since mom, and i and others have had sensitivity to chlorine.

love the zoo and botanical gardens too. it's just so hard to manage all three by myself since dh left in March for the new job. Thankfully Houston has great attractions like that too, but I will miss FW!

Re: DFW mamas

Can anyone local replace the Velcro on my Thirsties diapers and covers? I have the tabs and the laundry tabs. I would rip off all of the current velcro. So you would only need to supply the velcro strip (or I could buy it and give it to you) and sew everything on for me.

I could PROBABLY do it by hand, but that seems like it would take a long time. WOULD it take that long? Would it be fairly easy if I get the correct needle and thread? The instructions say to get a "Jeans" needle and "strong cotton polyester blend thread."

Is this something I could just do myself by hand fairly easily with the right needled and thread?
Thanks

God bless!
