I mix according to texture. Maybe an ounce?

Did anyone else's baby have a hard time with avocado? My guy had it at 6 months and had diarhea and mucous poo. Our naturopath said it was because of how fatty it is and said she recommends waiting til 9 months for sensitive babies. Too bad, because he loved it!

Spoon fed or in pieces small enough that he can easily mash with gums. It's a great first food.

Depends on how you're wanting to feed your LO.

Are you doing purees? If so, mash it down with breast milk.
Are you waiting until your LO can feed themselves? Slice it into small cubes.

We did BLW, so we went with the small cubes method. Avocado makes a huge mess, but DD loved it. For those that were saying 5mo is too early, DD showed all signs of readiness by 5 months. (Sitting up, pincer grip, no tongue reflex, etc)
