Suggestions?? 2 yr old unbuckling chest clip

We have my 2 year old son in a Graco Myride RFing and he has learned to unbuckle the chest clip. Any suggestions??

I can move him back into his Marathon but he is getting to big for it and that would only be temporary. I also have the shoulder strap covers from the marathon (or the myride) and thought maybe I could wrap that around the chest clip to at least alert me that he is taking it apart (I would likely hear the velcro) and I can reprimand him for it when caught red handed since I don't know he has undone the clip until I take him out (I have only caught him in the mirror once).

Any thoughts on this or other suggestions??

Prickly side of Velcro stuck to the chest clip will make it uncomfortable to play with.

Subbing because I'm having the same problem. Velcro won't work for us because he's only touching the chest clip exactly where he needs to pinch.

Cut the toe off a sock and put it over the chest clip.

I have had to pull the car over and do time out on the side of the road a couple of times when mine did this. Luckily we were usually eased somewhere he wanted to go and the time out meant a little more. I only had to do it twice before it could just be a friendly warning when we got in the car instead of time out.

Great idea - the same sort of thing i was thinking of but he won't be able to get the sock off (maybe move it). I will also be doing a time out (if I can we do a lot of 4 lane highway driving around here)if possible but I haven't caught him doing it except once!!

That's where you put the Velcro. Put it so it's uncomfortable for him to pinch the chest clip to release it.
