Re: britax worth it?

I have a Marathon and a Scenera...I do prefer the Marathon because it's heavier duty and more comfy. With that said, I don't think I would just automatically and go buy another Britax like I did last time (I got caught up in the "it's the best seat in the world" hype) but I would look around and see what I liked and fit them best.

mama to 5 and proud of it!

Re: britax worth it?

Love our Britax seats (classic Marathon and blvd70), but we've owned other brand seats as well and they've all worked well. Like others have said, a lot of the Britax love comes from bells and whistles...I love the no-rethread harness on our blvd, they're super easy to install, love the built-in lockoffs (especially since I have an older car and have to usually use locking clips...they aren't hard to use, just kind of a pain in the butt). Our Britax seats definitely feel more solid/substantial than our Scenera that we had as a backup seat, even though I almost feel like our Marathon feels more sturdy than our Boulevard...the plastic feels different to me? (hubby says I'm nuts lol). And their customer service is AWESOME. Our Marathon's cover rubbed through to a small hole when the seat was almost 2 years old, and even though it was out of warranty, they sent me a new cover to replace it at no cost.

Re: britax worth it?

OP are you talking about the Graco Nautilus (labeled a 3-in-1, but is a combo seat) or the Smart Seat (a convertible/FF harness/booster)? It seems most are talking about their Britax convertibles. IMO there are a lot of great convertibles on the market, and Britax just falls in with the others. For a combo seat, it really does have some things that others don't. It's got the tallest top slots, so if you have a huge kid, it may be the easy best choice. The Nautilus is great, too, though, and would be just fine for most kids.
