Favorite Nursing Pad??

I want to get my SIL who is due in a week or so some good nursing pads. I guess they don't have to be velour. So Spam away, best if they are in stock too!
Thanks!

Re: Favorite Nursing Pad??

um... cloth? reusable?

because I love Lansinoh disposable pads. they're really thin even when soaked and they are cupped - so even if I don't use the sticky (I've never use the sticky), they stay in place over the nip in the bra. I think they're great!

Re: Favorite Nursing Pad??

I've read some fantastic and very convincing things about the Lana nursing pads. Because of those things I read I bought some for myself. They are soooo soft right out of the package. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, since my baby isn't due until May but you should check those out. I got mine from www.danishwool.com

Good luck.

Re: Favorite Nursing Pad??

I am BF my 2nd dd and have tried different kinds this time (all disposable so far). Avent and Johnson & Johnson are very similar, but the J&J stuck to my nipples if they were the slightest bit wet after a feeding (and really who totally dries their nips after every feeding?). The J&J also seemed to leak when it was full. I finally went back to the cheap Curity pads. I used them for 14 1/2 mo nursing 1st dd and I never had any problems (it's got to be super full to leak). They are about 50% bigger than the other pads so they don't slide around in my bra at night when I'm sleeping (which of course makes me leak when I'm half asleep for a feeding at night). They aren't shaped, but form quickly since they are not too thick. I got some PUL yesterday and am going to try making some for myself!

Re: Favorite Nursing Pad??

Lana pads are awesome! Also, the X-small ones are the same size as the Lansinoh disposables (5 in), and they are on clearance on the lana website!!! 10.50/pr plus $5 shipping, so buy two pair while you are at it!

I love the hemp jersey ones for daytime. They are super super absorbant as hemp is..and they dont show through bras because they are really thin.
For night i use the hemp fleece. No leaks ever. I had some nursing pad sposies samples and i had some in my diaper bag for backup. Man my boobs sweat in those. I can only imagine what a sposie butt feels like.
