Re: TTC while BFing Weekly Chat:: Oct 10-16

Move me to *waiting to O*

AF came yesterday. So, my LP lengthened from 3 days to 5 days. I guess that's progress.

Question for you ladies: what can I do/take to make me O faster and lengthen my LP? That is safe for breastfeeding, of course.
My husband is scheduled to deploy December 4. He had a vasectomy reversal and because there is a chance of scarring if he goes a long period without sex, we would like to actively TTC before he goes. If it doesn't work this month, we will try again when he comes home for 28 days in about April.

I'd like to night wean my LO, but that's not going to be possible until we get him a crib. He cosleeps with me.

Jocelyne - CD42? Wow, that one must have been a test of patience!

Carla - So sorry mama. Have you tried Maca? It often helps to regulate a cycle. I know soy also helps, but I don't have any experience with that one.

AFM - 9DPO and nothing on my cheapies yet. I don't expect anything to show before 11DPO at the earliest, I just can't help myself but to test every day.

Morgan, as long as you're above your cover line, there's still hope! It isn't over till the red hag shows. How long is your regular LP?

Lucy - I don't know, I still don't have PPAF. I thought I was getting ready to start about 2 days ago but still nothing and a high cervix still.

Re: TTC while BFing Weekly Chat:: Oct 10-16

Carla: Vitex and B6 are supposed to help legnthen your cycle but over time. I've taken them for months and finally got to 10 days this month. My midwife and Ob think LP is short bc ovulation isn't strong enough and soy is supposed to combat that. When your ovulation is stronger, you make more of the correct hormones to have a normal LP. So I too might think soy could work for you. I haven't tried it yet myself...planning to test it this cycle. You need to do it day 3-7 or thereabouts so you might need to get cracking on that if you plan to try it!

wordmomma i don't know what day of my cycle I am. I just had a D&C 4 weeks ago. I'm hoping my cycle returns very soon. Prior to getting pregnant my cycles were about 40-45 days. Since then DS has stopped BFing, so I really dont know what my cycles will be like
