Re: moving to a smaller house

we are also a family of 5. Our house is 1400 square foot on 1/19th of an acre. Yeah you read that right and I live in FL where we don't have basements. We plan on moving out to TN and I'm looking into getting a smaller house, about 1000 square foot because I feel like our house is too big now lol. So no, I don't think you are crazy. The more space there is the more crap that fills it and more work for me

Re: moving to a smaller house

We are a family of 6 with a big dog, 2 cats, and a rescued pigeon in 1350sq ft. I am happy with it. Our first house was 2200sq ft when we got to WA. Such a waste of space. Yet no room for anything because of the crappy way it was laid out. Teeny tiny rooms, a dinning room not big enough for our bar style table, small living room, but over 1/4 of the house was just open loft upstairs. Made zero freaking sense.

We are a family of 6 in a two story old house with aprox 1400sf. I want to move so bad! The only storage is two closets in a 4 bdrm house so we built a shed for seasonal items, tools etc. I don't mind the amount of sf just the layout.
