Missy I am sorry! is never fun.

I must say though that your brave to continue to use Dreft with cloth diapers in the house. I used my supply then never touched it again (got my supply before I decided to cloth diaper). Do you have issues using it on the clothes with the diapers in the same washer?

I read the dreft web site on how to wash cloth diapers using dreft but it really needs to be the liquid from what I have read. I love the smell and I cannot find anything natural that will work with my extremely hard water here. But truthfully I have never used dreft on diapers.

About the Hopscotch pattern. I have found, in my experience, anything that looks cute for a girl (be it tiny or big girl) is hard to get on. So I would get that pattern and use it as a learning experience for your daughter.
okay then help me pick out my order For both DD and "Opidy" and DS (but he's already in a size 8 so probably won't get much)

Shoes...she is too big to wear those so they are out. And I already have a reversible soft sole shoe pattern.

So far I have: the vneck, the hoodie, and the bubble shorts in my cart

This isn't fair! I don't know what you have and what you have trouble finding out there. In all honesty I haven't lived out there for 18 years on May 2... where did those 18 years go??

For me I am starting to have trouble finding shirts for Max that don't have a TON of writing on them. With my luck I would pick out a shirt that has some bad symbol on it. Did I say I am a bit oblivious? I also can't find hats for him. Big heads come from my family too.

The peacoat intrest me because I know I could make it for far less then I could buy it. I would just get the fabric on sale at Joanns and that would be good. He needs another car coat (for getting to the car, not for using when in the car!!!) next year. He may also need another snow coat too but I think I will just get that at Walmart at the beginning of the season with snow pants.

I am looking for stuff for Nathaniel because I have a lot of carters and such from DS. I am not really thrilled about him sleeping in the fabrics that are treated with fire retardants. Yeah fire retardants have their place, but not on my kid who is less then 3 feet away from me when he sleeps at night. For Max I make all of his PJ's for this reason... and he sleeps across the hall. However I am pretty sure he doesn't smoke and neither does anyone else in the house.

The ball and ring set I thought would be good because I have lots of scraps. What a good way to use them.

Ooo I was going to say that if the duck slippers were available in Max's size I would get those because I think he would like them, but I just looked and she has them so you can get them in any size! I could have a pair!!

Don't know if that helps you, but it is my thinking.

My dad finally sent me a video of my sister ice skating. I know this isn't huge baby news but it is something that I miss because I live so far away. So finally after 2 years, I get to see her skate.

Sorry I didn't know where else to post since I can't post the video because my step mother would kill me.

thats awesome about your sister

yeah and patterns ... I have a few raglan tee patterns already. And I have a few ottobre magazines that I sewed for DS.

I have portabello pixies patterns that I bought years ago and never made anything out of them (several dresses and the ruffle pants)

I also have some other patterns that I've done.

I don't have any shorts patterns for DD but she wears wool right now so don't really "need" shorts for her yet. But they would be cute for older.

I'm always a sucker for shirts, but never make them

Re: August 2013 weekly chat ~ April 21-27

I wish it was that warm here. I am finally home after kid #2 throwing up in my car. I am hoping it was his head hurting like his brother and not the flu. My poor kids suffer from migraines just like their dad. I am good at combatting them but he was at his grandparents and didn't tell anyone.

That is great that is warm out there Erica. It was warm here yesterday but I get weirded out when DH isn't around. So Max spent some time outside but I didn't. Also didn't want to deal with crazy children next door. I don't know what to tell you about the patterns. I asked my mom last night but she didn't say much. I will ask DH in the next couple of days. I am not expecting him home till late tonight. His plane is suppose to get in at 5:30 but that means about 9:30 in FAA time.

Ugg Missy! I am sorry you have to deal with that! I hope you can get something to help your children! I didn't know children could get migraines.

AFM - I am off in a few minutes go to the oncologist. I hope I don't get too many of the "oh pity" looks from the old people there. The waiting room is normally VERY geriatric. My belly I can't hide. I even have to go back into the chemo rooms to get my port flushed. At least I am 26 weeks today. So one more week closer... only 12 left.

Missy - So sorry about the kiddos! Hope it isn't the flu. Maybe it'll warm up soon for you too.

Erica - we ended up spending a good portion of the afternoon outside yesterday too. It was in the low 80's here. Kids played and I knitted.

Jennifer - Good luck at the appt. Hope you don't get too many stares. I didn't realize you still had the chemo port. That stinks!

AFM: Since I did not inherit the sewing gene in our family, I'm going over to my mom's (on her day off) and she's offered to make DD some more coolots/gouchos. DD and I don't wear pants (for religious reasons....and no....we are not Jehovah's Witnesses. I get asked that all the time. ) Anyway, I like for her to wear something that does have a crotch in it when she's playing (especially around others), but not pants or shorts. It's very hard to find things that fit that bill for a toddler, so usually someone makes them for her. Either my middle sister (who got all of the sewing/quilting genes I think) or my mom.
