Ziploc bags to store milk?

I read about this in a baby bargain book. Does anyone do this? Any recommendations on good Ziplocs to use? Or other storage method? I've read about ice cube trays but I'm not sure how this would work. Do you put that in a ziploc? Wouldn't it get freezer burn if not?

Re: Ziploc bags to store milk?

Here is what I did:

I mostly pumped today what I would send to daycare tomorrow. Any milk left over at the end of the week got frozen (Thursdays really, since Friday's milk would be saved for Monday's daycare). I froze my milk in ice cube trays. They give you nice 1 oz portions. I would pour the milk into the trays, then cover with saran wrap, then freeze overnight. The next day, I'd pop out the cubes and put them into a ziplock bag. I wrote the date on the bag. Then I put the small bag into a large ziplock freezer bag. I could fit several of the small bags into the large bag. I mostly used the milk cubes for thinning solids, since I used fresh milk for daycare bottles. They are also good for "momsickles" on a hot day - just pop one into a mesh feeder.
