Strange Toy Dilemma

I am in search of a toy for DD. A few weeks ago we found that she has a strange attraction to Pop Tart package. I am not fond of letting her play with it but she SCREAMS when it is removed from her. She loves staring at the shiny surface and crinkling it. It is so weird but it pleases her tremendously.

She actually cried harder than her vaccinations the last time we removed it.

Any suggestions on a replacement?

Re: Strange Toy Delima

Let me check if I still have a couple of board books. DD was given a couple of cheap (but nice) books. One has farm animals and the other has princesses. It's pages have shiney inserts (mylar, I think) they kinda crinkle and are definately shiney.

But you could also get her a mylar balloon. They are pretty indistructable, and we keep them around our house quite a while. When the loose the helium I just use a straw and blow them up with air and they reseal and are good to kick around.

HTH

Sorry, no advice, I was just really laughing at that choice of toys!! How funny! But I agree with PP- a mylar balloon is a good idea.

Lol I'd let her have it unless she has teeth. Man I miss the days when DD could chew on food wrappers... I know, I know, it's not a very good toy at all, but she did love it. Now it's "uh oh, Indy broke into the chocolate chips again babe"

Re: Strange Toy Dilemma

There's someone on HC that makes felt Pop Tart playfood w/ a mylar fabric pouch!
I want to say it's Sunspot Babywear, but maybe she just makes Pop Tarts and someone else makes them w/ the pouch. Lemme see...

Here they are: http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=80879&vid=1501
It's My Beautiful Girl (saminco on here?) I think she's closed to customs for the holidays, but hit her up for afterwards. IDK if she has any crinkle material onhand, but if she could add a layer to her wrapper, it'd fit all your DD's fave features, but babysafe
