Can you try hemp milk? No soy, no dairy, no gluten but good fats and vit d and it's yummy. We get it at the health food store.

Yeah, I've felt that way - and the next day I found out I was pregnant! LOL!

Re: Do you ever just not want to nurse?

Totally been there. My DD is 19 months today. It happens mostly at night where I just don't want to be awake and I am in an uncomfortable position and I just can't relax and I literally beg her to hurry up (not that she understands ). Thankfully we are mostly nightweaned, but it happens!

Yeah, but to feed two milk-hog dds on it would be so insanely expensive. Dd1 is usually on rice milk and she would drink a container a day if she could, or more. The hemp milk's been on sale once ever that I can remember, and that was like 50 cents off, so we can't afford it. Ack.

Hey, no harm, no foul! I think after 19 months...good lord mama, you are entitled to a day off! For all you know your LO thoroughly enjoyed some special time with dad.

Re: Do you ever just not want to nurse?

I have those days and DS is not even 3 months old! Don't get me wrong, I like bfing him, but sometimes I just want some time to myself.

I think after 19 months you're entitled to sleep while you're sick.

Re: Do you ever just not want to nurse?

As long as your child is safe and taken care of, I think it's completely appropriate to put yourself first sometimes. How can you give them the best you can if you are totally strung out and resentful? Take care.

Re: Do you ever just not want to nurse?

when he clusterfeeds for hours on end for months, wakes up in the middle of the night and the only way to feed him is the boob, when he bites me with teeth.....ya.... we all have those moments

and ds is only 6 months old but I've given him formula, so good for you for sticking it out!! i'm trying desperately to make it to a year but it's a struggle.

I'd love to be able to go to the bathroom without him trying to nurse.

I told DH that I felt bad about last night and he giggled at me and told me ds was perfectly fine, and I shouldn't feel bad at all

I dream of the day (night) he nightweans!
