No one told me!

That having a potty trained shy kid would suddenly mean they'd refuse to go to things like Sunday school anymore!!

Lol

I mean it makes sense. Obviously she's anxious and only trusts her parents to take her potty, but it took us almost 2 yrs to get her to go into Sunday School and now she won't go again.

No advice needed. We're just taking it slow with asking her what she wants to do.

Just a small rant it makes sense, but was totally unexpected.

My dd just held it for 2 years of morning prek. She had never used the potty at school. Wondering how kindergarten will go since thats so much longer to go and she still needs some assistance with buttons and snaps.

I assumed she would just hold it, but nope... She just won't go in and starts to freak out if she thinks I'm gonna make her.

Both sundays, she has eventually gone after cuddling with us in the main service until the songs are over. But she was running in excited to sing and play before the potty training.

Re: No one told me!

Could she wear a pull up to sunday school so it isn't a big deal if she gets to the potty or not? It might be a little coincidence as well - she might be just having a bit of seperation anxiety going on. I find with mine that sometimes when they take a big leap in maturity they have a few weeks of being clingy to me. Kind of like the maturity jump is a bit overwelming and they need some extra snuggles to get used to it.
