I, for some reason, have a rough time with hoop and loop and my sons pants. For some reason the hoop and loop always bulges and then gets caught on the waist of his pants and then it pulls the velcro loose. I never have that problem with snaps.

I have some of both, I prefer velcro because I can get a better fit on my preemie. DH will only use the velcro ones.

I strongly prefer hook and loop. But I do have some snap diapers.

I've actually wished that someone could do H&L conversion on my BGEs!

I do find poor quality aplix on otherwise good diapers to be very puzzling. Like Thirsties- Duos are $18 diapers, can they honestly not get the numbers to work with a higher quality closure? I don't even mind BG aplix, but Thirsties needs to call up Blueberry and get some freakin advice.

My entire stash is made up of side snapping diapers, with the exception of night time diapers (front snapping) and prefolds of course. The only velcro around here is on one of the Flip covers.

I don't see how snaps are any harder for anybody.

Wanted to add that think hook and loop looks better. The front of the diaper lays flat unlike diapers with just 1 row of snaps. Also, I prefer to see a solid landing strip than unused snaps in the middle. Lol.

I don't have a problem with my hook and loop getting worn though. Not sure what I'm doing right or others are doing wrong. I have mostly bg (sized aios) and thirsties. No curling. Never had laundry tabs not work. No fuzzy landing strip. No fuzz in tabs etc. My hook and look looks brand new after a year. And since I don't have problems with the hook and loop I dont have snags in my pul etc from laundry chains. I have bought some used diapers on fsot though that were only used a couple of times or for a couple of months that look horrible...

Me, too! I never found the love for it. The only velcro diapers I've ever owned & didn't sell right away were Tots Bots. And I still sold them in the end.

Yeah, I bought 24 BG 3.0s w/ velcro as my first stash. Boy did I regret that Never did it again!

I like having both. I like snaps better because they look very nice! But I've grown to appreciate H&L also, so its nice to have a pile of each.

My ideal stash of 30 diapers would have 20 snap diapers and 10 H&L.

My stash is mainly snaps, but it's not intentional - just most of the diapers I've bought have snaps. I think I only have 2 or 3 diapers with aplix, and then a few of my covers have aplix.
