Started fitting DD at birth (7lb9oz).

I just put them into storage at 7.5mos, 19lbs, monster thighs. I put her in one last week, but she had some red marks around her thighs, and I had concerns about the rise.

These fit both dd1 and dd2 at birth, although I had to fold the front down under the umbilical cord. They weighed 7lbs11oz and 8lbs at birth. They fit dd1 until around 15lbs and dd2 is currently wearing them at around 12 lbs. I bought 5 for $25 (barely used, excellent condition) so I would say I got my money's worth!

Enjoying eyeing the responses. This is the base of my covers atm, and I purchased them just based on the website recommendations for weight.

Re: Did Thirsties Duo Wrap/Line work from birth on your newborn?

They fit my 7 lb 12 oz daughter, but were a little tall in the rise. I liked them more after a week or two. I wish they had a cord snap down instead of just a dip. They did fit nicely over fitteds. This time I bought a GMD Clotheez newborn diaper cover to try. It's white with snaps, cord snap down, and sizes down smaller than a Thirsties Duo. I kept the Thirsties because they really are great, but the Clotheez might work better from the get go. I'll let you know in July

Re: Did Thirsties Duo Wrap/Line work from birth on your newborn?

I am so glad I found this thread! I used Thirsties XS with my babies in the past (7,9 and 11 years ago!!!) and grabbed a couple duos for this new baby but they seem bigger. The h&l wasn't sticky on my old covers after 3 babies but they fit my 6 lb 10 oz daughter well. I imagine this baby will be bigger so I am hoping the duos will work alright. I have a lot of GroVia shells which seem to fold up really small so something should work.

They worked from birth up to about 15 lbs with my first. He was 8lbs and chunky. My second was 6.3 when I brought him home and he was a slow grower, very skinny and never chunked up. He didn’t fit into them for 2-3 weeks, but they fit until he was 20 lbs and over a year old.
