2 yo birthday party

How big of a deal should I make for this? Also, thoughts on time? Too late and kiddo wants a nap, but should we provide lunch? Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: 2 yo birthday party

I'd say this is a bit more "off topic" but I say it depend on you and your family.

Every birthday my kids have gotten a party at my home with their ext family but it's generally only 11 people including us (grandparents, one uncle, and one aunt and her family). Usually we do a brunch or an early afternoon picky style lunch. Nap can make it trickier, because even if the festivities are done your LO may be too wound up to sleep. Often times we have skipped nap, though it's not my favorite idea.

Starting at their 4th birthday my kids have gotten a separate party with there friends usually an indoor playplace.

Re: 2 yo birthday party

We stick to family for birthdays.

What about mid morning? That's the only safe time for toddlers around here An easy 2 year old part is Very Hungry Caterpillar--just have platters of all the foods he eats through, it's picky snack food rather than a meal but will hold them til they go home for lunch.
