Any other wind musicians out there?

I was practicing my oboe and english horn last night and the big, quick breaths in I need kinda hurt the top of my belly, I guess technically that would be the diaphragm. I leaned back against a pillow, which of course is not good posture for breathing, but it seemed to help ease the pain. No problems with blowing out though. I'm 19 weeks now. My belly does feel extra stretched today like we're going through a growth spurt or something, so I'm not sure if it was just a one time thing or I should anticipate that unpleasantness every time now. I'm not ready to give up playing yet!! (Especially now that baby might actually be able to hear me play!) How long were you able to play your wind instruments?

My Mood:
I played/play my flute whenever I feel like it. It gets a little harder breath room wise as things shift and get bigger. Just do as you feel comfortable.

Re: Any other wind musicians out there?

I am almost 8 months pregnant and plan to play my flute for a song in church for Easter. I do feel like air is more difficult to blow but the song is short and slow, shouldn't be too difficult. Its hard to sit with my flute on my lap during waiting times, I don't have much of a lap anymore.
