Re: Teachers gifts

I would love the crayon initials!!!!! The crayon cake is cute, but I would feel bad using the supplies. Gift cards to local school supply store or if the teacher uses Teacher Pay Teachers website would be appreciated.

Re: Teachers gifts

As a teacher in a past life (actually this one, but it feels so long ago), I would love the supply cake or gift certs to local supply stores.

How nice of you! Whatever you do will be greatly appreciated!

I would love the crayon initials, actually I like the gemstones better but I like sparkly stuff. I get at least two mugs a year and those stay in my classroom, but they're way overdone. I don't eat any homemade food unless I know the family pretty well . One year a student gave me one if those clear glass ornaments. He decorated paper and put it inside. That had been my favorite so far. I wouldn't really like the supply cake because I teach kindergarten and my classroom is filled with supplies. I don't need anymore.

On a side note, I do have 1 mug that I absolutely love. I had just had a baby and a patent asked me for 2 family picks. She had a mug made with the pics and a cute saying. Then she filled it with tea and coffee. It was so thoughtful and is my absolute favorite mug.

Re: Teachers gifts

What about handmade bath and body stuff? Like lotion bars? I was thinking of doing that for mine and wondered if it would be a flop. Maybe with a gift card as well...

As a teacher, my favorite is anything from the kid . I loved a very sparkly shawl I received one year (and I did wear it around school that day!), a kid made necklace, a card or something that shows the kid put thought into it. Not at all practical, but so important to the kids. I also really appreciate a note from the family. It really is the thought that counts.
Supplies are great as well!

I am a teacher and would love a Tervis cup. I have one that I leave at school. I would love to have one at home.
