NFP Crash Course

After a few months of being driven crazy by birth control and several bc pill changes over the last year, DH and I decided we were going to do NFP to avoid after this cycle. I ordered TCOYF but it won't be here for a week and then I'll only have a few days before I need to start charting.
Anyone have a link to a good crash course to get me started?

Re: NFP Crash Course

I used Fertility Friend for NFP before TTC with DD1. I would recommend it... if you have a period and are no longer breastfeeding. I tried to use it post DD1, but was unable to chart anything until my period started again... but before that did I was pregnant again! lol

I've been reading up on the fertility friend tutorials and feel prepared. I'm a little nervous as I'm generally a bit off first coming off BC. But we 're planning on TTC in a few months so not a HUGE deal if it happens a little early. Hope not though.

Re: NFP Crash Course

I've used fertility friend for 5 years. I was mostly TTC though and now that I'm done I'm going to try it to avoid. I am pretty nervous even though I feel like an expert at this point. I highly recommend their online charting it makes it so easy To track. Good luck!

Re: NFP Crash Course

Fertility friend is designed for those trying to conceive, so be careful! Generally it is taught less specifically and doesn't contain the rules when not taught for birth control. It's not really something to "crash" into, you want to do it for a little while before using it. In your case, since you want to conceive in a few months, I would use condoms until you want to conceive while still trying to observe and chart everything. You should also make sure you have a handle on the rules. Then, when you are breastfeeding you will have a good idea of how to do everything and can use it to avoid pregnancy when the time comes again because of your practice
