What did you/ do you eat to help nasea in the first trimester?

Esp. that all day waiting at the bottom of your throat kind?
I really didn't find anything that helped last time very much except for munching on crackers almost continously ... which I have some problems related to carbs so any help??????

Re: What did you/ do you eat to help nasea in the first trimester?

Oh, ugh, that is no fun! I didn't find anything that helped a whole lot. Some things that made it not quite so bad were: eating little bites of protien often throughout the day (like little pieces of cheese), trying to eat something before I started to feel hungry (not real easy when you feel like vomitting at the thought of anything in your mouth...) mint or ginger tea is supposed to help - I couldn't get past the smell to swallow it though, and sucking on hard candy helped a little too.
I kept hoping for a "magic cure" for morning sickness and finally gave up.
www.birthwithsol.com had a list of morning sickness helps I think.

Hope it's better for you this time!

yuck - honestly, nothing really helped me - sour candy did a little bit, and I lived on popsicles for about the first 15 weeks!

Milk. I know, but I craved milk my whole pregnancy and a small glass would settle my stomach for some reason.

Um... it probably sounds weird, but I had one of these. It sounds weird, but it really worked. Once you get used to wearing it... They're expensive, but a friend gave me mine. There are different models, this is the only one I found a link to. However, my nausea when pg with DS got to the point eventually that nothing helped, not even Zofran.
