Headaches

I had daily, very bad headaches which sometimes turned into migraines when I was pregnant with DS. Nothing helped, they were awful. Dr finally approved excedrin migraine and probably 4-5 days a week I took two and it was gone for the day like magic.

The headaches have started back up. If they don't go away by bed, I know I will wake up with a worse one that lasts all day. Is excedrin migraine even back up for sale yet? Help

Oh no! I've heard that rubbing lavender EO on your temples then laying in the dark for a few minutes can be really helpful. Although, I know with the migraines I get, that seems almost silly.
I hope you find since relief soon!

Re: Headaches

My mw told me mine were from estrogen imbalance. It was relentless for two days until I started using Wild Yam cream. Totally worked. They are not 100% gone, but 95-99% gone. Enough that I don't notice it unless I think about it.

It was a pain right in the middle of the forehead.

ETA: Wild yam is a natural plant source of progesterone. It balances the levels of estrogen and progesterone in your body.

Re: Headaches

I normally get migraines every month or so. They suck. Royally.
When I've been pregnant in the past, I've always gotten less headaches. This pregnancy, however, I'm getting even more than normal. I assume it's from the additional stress/worries/fears I'm having this time around.

The only thing I've ever found that works for my headaches is Advil liqui-gels - which, technically, you're not supposed to take during pregnancy. FWIW, I did not know this until I was pregnant with Elliana. I had always taken them when needed, through the whole of my previous pregnancies.
I read info that says advil is most unsafe during the first trimester and during the last trimester (getting close to delivery). So, that coupled with previous experience, I'm taking it when needed now.
For example, yesterday unfortunately I took 3x400mg in 4 hours. Could not shake the headache. Sucked.

Excedrin Migrane is the same thing as regular extra strength excedrin (at least it was when it first came out- I mean exactly the same)
you can also try 1 regular strength tylenol (325 mg) and 1 magnesium tab, I have gotten migranes/ cluster headaches for years and years and this has always worked for me. I had stopped having my regular headaches sometime last winter didnt even realize it until the midwife asked me about headaches and Dh piped up and said "you havent had them in a long time" lol love it when that happens but sadly now they are back to normal (headache every day for most of the day for 2-3 weeks straight) hope everyone feels better soon!
