Yep, I do the same thing. Unfortunately smart-assery and sarcasm doesn't translate well to print - it really needs tone to convey it well.

I particularly dislike threads that start with that. First of all, if you are asking if you are a bad mom, you are either kidding or not a bad mom because you care enough about it to get advice or admit you made a mistake. Second of all, most of these threads are about stupid things that would not even quality in the bad mom group. The truly bad moms are not on here posting about abusing their kids,etc. kwim? It's almost like some that post that question are looking for sympathy, are bored, or are trying to find someone that will assure them that they are, in fact, a great mom.

I think we all need a little assurance now and then. As long as it's not a chronic problem for a person I don't see it as an issue. And it's not uncommon to feel alone, to feel like no one around you is having THIS issue. You know it's not true intellectually, but that doesn't necessarily erase the feeling, KWIM?

I live a good dose of sarcasm. Sadly DH still doesn't get it after 7 years of marriage so it is wasted on him. My brother used to live near by and he was the master of sarcasm, now that he moved i am all alone with my sarcastic self.
I do use it with the kids forgetting that they will take me seriously. Although my oldest is starting to get it.
