Re: Hemp or Cotton?

You should have put other I love hemp for the absorbancy, but it tends to hold a stench and not have a nice feel. I love cotton for the soft feel and for cleaning, but it doesn't absorb as well. So generally I prefer a cotton/hemp blend.

Re: Hemp or Cotton?

I like both equally IF the hemp is fully primed. Otherwise I like sherpas (prefer cotton/poly blends they last longer).

So I tend (but not always) to buy cottons or cotton/polys new and if I'm buying used I usually go for hemp.

I am not a hemp fan. I have it for my customers and do use the duds on my ds but it holds the stink to much to prove itself to me. I prefer BKT as a soaker, velours, plain flannel...just about anything except hemp.

I have never had a stink problem with hemp. I love it for its durability.

Re: Hemp or Cotton?

Hmmm... I'm working on my newborn stash. I started with organic cotton knit terry, but I wonder if I'd like the hemp/cotton fleece as a doubler or as pocket stuffers. I've got bamboo velour here too. Would that be a good combo with hemp/cotton fleece for a doubler?

I wish I knew how much this baby is going to pee! DD was a very light wetter as an infant.

Thanks so much for the imput, mamas.

Cotton please, only because hemp stinkies too quickly with our hard water.
