Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

DEFINITELY! The most frustrating part of starting to CD for me has been not having the opportunity to see and feel things before ordering.

Depending on where it is, I would probably go.

I would go! There is a place by my parents house in NJ and I went there a
few months back. The owner spent a lot of time with me telling me about the different types of diapers and letting me see and touch them. Boy did that help out a lot. Also, they run a free CDing class for people who want info.

Thanks for the input!! We are still looking into finding a retail space that is affordable around here. I am interested in opening somewhere in Northern Virginia, I live in Reston so someplace close to here.

Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

I'm in Savage, MD. If it were close enough, I would definitely go! I also like the idea of a boutique/store... it promotes cloth diapering to the general public My mom thinks I'm nuts for CDing, but she saw some CDs for sale in a boutique in NC and now she thinks it kinda cool. Ooooh... I miss Reston. I used to live there when I was single.

Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

I would go if it was relatively close by (I'm in Fairfax County VA), but I wouldn't be willing to drive more than 30 minutes or so. ALthough I may make a special trip to go a little farther if I was just starting out. It would be great to see things in person before bying, but with 4 kids and a busy schedule it's hard to make a lot of time for long shopping trips.

**Oooohhh I just saw you live in Reston--that is close to me!! Please let me know if you do open a store or if you need help folding fluffly dipes. **

Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

maybe. I haven't found a store yet that has everything I need/want for CD so I doubt I would be switchiing to only the BM store. There IS a store not far from my house (online but will let you p/u local) and I don't order from her anymore b/c frankly her prices aren't the best and between that and sales tax I may as well order online.

In the beginning it was great to go there though and get to look at everything in person before I made a decision. If it was an actual store I would probably go in periodically to check out the newest fluff.
