Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

I'm in Pasadena....but I work in NOVA in Chantilly.

I'd love to find another store in our area to shop at.

I too hate paying shipping, and rather buy local.

And don't forget about Ecover and RLR! Many CD mamas use them and have a hard time finding them. I would definitely come and poke around from time to time!

Abby's Lane doesn't have a storefront, but she's in Bristow, VA (near Gainesville). I went to her Cloth Diaper 101 that she offers once a month which was informative, but also gave me the chance to see products in person, look at colors, etc. as well as make purchases.

This thread is kinda old, but it would be nice to also have a variety of items for moms new to babywearing!

It would be great - especially if you sell CD friendly detergents. Usually the shipping for those heavy bottles is more than the cost of the detergent itself!!
I saw online a store that is in Bowie, MD where you can make an appointment to pick up the items instead of paying shipping. Unfortunately she doesn't carry any HE detergents, only Allen's.

Re: VA/DC/Maryland moms- quick question

There is a store 45 min south of me in Charlottesville VA that carries FB's, BG, prefolds, Assortment of covers, and wetbags, other general supplies. She also sells an AMAZING selection of carriers, nursing supplies, haba toys, other wooden toys, arts and crafts, organic clothing, britax car seats, strollers, etc. Even WITH all that stuff, AND the weekly mom's teas, storytime etc that she hosts I only make it there every few months. www.thenatureschild.com It's my favorite store and I ask for gift certificates for my birthday/christmas.

That store sounds amazing (Nature's Child) - I wish she had one closer to me! I hate paying shipping on all of the "crunchy" stuff we buy regularly. =) (We are in NOVA)
