Re: Anyone in Utah?

I'm in Layton.

From what I've seen, the pools require all kids under 3 years to wear a swim diaper, whether they are potty trained or not. And of course they still have to if they are over 3 and not trained. I've heard of lots of people using a pocket diaper without an insert or a cover for a swim diaper. I bought some cloth swim diapers online.

Re: Anyone in Utah?

I'm in Midvale!!!!

Hey, all you Utahns, have you heard of www.saltlakecitymommies.com or www.utahcountymommies.com ? I'm a member of the first one, it's forums and local playdates and such, kinda like here. Anyway, I could use some more cloth diapering mamas on that site, I think everyone thinks I'm weird for switching! Check it out guys!

Re: Anyone in Utah?

Hi, mamas! I am moving to Logan from Japan in August. Yikes! Not ready for the snow. I'm due with #2 in November, so I've been checking out homebirth midwives and all that fun stuff. Does anyone have any experience with living in Logan? I'm just wondering about hospitals, stores, health food, mom's groups, etc.

Re: Anyone in Utah?

I am in Utah! I am in Riverton. As for which thread we should be on, I've seen Utah categorized as Northwest, Mountain West, Southwest, and even Midwestern ( I took offense to that last one, LOL).

You should see the looks on people's faces when I say that not only do I plan to cloth diaper my baby, but that I actually SELL them and have been for 2 1/2 years. LOL They always suggest that I am in the wrong business and that no one uses CD anymore, or they say "Eeew, I would never cloth diaper!" I am always tempted to ask what they do for a living, then say something like, "Eeew! I would never do that. Why don't you do something useful with your life?" LOL

It also amazes me how little babywearing I see here. I even offered to teach a class on sling sewing for church and they have not taken me up on it. There are 15 pregnant women that I know of in my church, most already have at least one kid, and not one sling r MT in sight!
