Anemia

Is anyone else suffering because of anemia? I knew it was a problem because it was with all of my pregnancies but it's dehabilitating this time around. I get so tired so easily and the headaches are aweful. I nap 2x a day just to get by and can sleep for 11 hours on top of it. I've been on Slowfe for over a month and it doesn't seem to help much. I'm wondering if I should push my OB to do more in the way of tests since she knows only via my RBC. I don't really know if/what other tests here are but I imagine there may be more to it.

Yes push for more testing. Are you taking gummy vitamins or the hard kind?

Re: Anemia

Have you tried more of a natural iron supplement like Floridex.

I had all other sorts of deficiencies that I had no clue about until I got tested. So don't just get tested for iron. Test it all.

Also rule out any genetic abnormality that might make you prone to anemia.

One hard and one oil/soft. It's called Duo.

Re: Anemia

I've never heard of Floridex. It's inexpensive online though. I pay more for the Slowfe, so it's worth a try. I try not to complain to the OB because I want her to take me very seriously if I ever do. I never knew they could test for genetic abnormalities aside from actual broken/missing DNA. I'll ask.

I warn you it tastes gross imho but it seemed to work for me.

I want to clarify that I meant consider asking if you have any form of inherited anemia. I didn't learn that I did until I was genetically tested.

Are your blood sugars ok?

Re: Anemia

Gross is alright if it works. My sugar and blood pressure are ok. I always have the movement test for my bp (sit, stand, sit) because it's a little low.
