Re: Pregnant w/ #4 while nursing #3 (4months old)

Yes, twice. My dd1 was 10 months when i got pregnant with #2, they tandem nursed till dd1 was 3. DD2 continued till 2, at that time I was about 4 months along with #3, I dont know why she stopped, probably because there was nothing there. With DD 1 im sure there was very little by 7 months, she just didnt care.

I was glad when DD2 stopped before DS1 arrived, because although I tandemed for quite a while, it really wasnt me....The first couple weeks were stressful, when my 18 month old nursed every 2 hrs like a newborn and started waking up in the night again. She quit eating solids and even had watery yellow poop again! I just didnt have the heart to make her stop...she didnt ask for a sibling so soon

Mostlikely by about 20 weeks you will dry up for a time, so pumping to supplment is a great idea! YOu milk should return int he form of colostrum later in the pregnancy but propably won''t be enough to sustain a growing baby, so you may need to supplement something...

Good luck!

I cannot drink milk dd and I have issues! LOL makes her uber fussy and me gassy But i heard high in fats foods helps, avoacodos, bacon, butter....and eggs? anything else?
huh! maybe that's why my 4 month old's such a chunker on just breastmilk. everyone's surprised when they see him... I eat a lot of those foods. Maybe nuts, too? and coconut? just because they're other high-fat good-fat foods. (not meaning that i think bacon qualifies in the good fat category.)

i would suppose that the milk would come back with the new baby's birth.

Re: Pregnant w/ #4 while nursing #3 (4months old)

i have the same problem. but worst, i've just noticed my milk decreased when my DS biting me everytime he nurse. and i tried to pump, and was very shocked when my milk was very little. i'm 23 weeks now.
i also didn't want to give him formula, as long as i can. but i think i have to consider it now,..
